Founder & Lead Educator

Hi, I'm Will La Ferriere, and I founded Eulexia Tutoring based on the understanding that effective teaching changes lives. I'm dedicated to the craft of instruction because I've witnessed the transformative results it brings – particularly when seeing students conquer reading difficulties and develop their linguistic and cognitive abilities. Witnessing a student's journey from frustration to confidence is a profound experience that fuels my commitment to the craft, and I feel honored by the trust placed in me to guide students toward these rewarding outcomes.

I know the immense value strong reading, language skills, and cognitive training bring; they open doors and foster life satisfaction. My nearly 20 years of experience have taught me that kids want to learn. They recognize and respond to instruction that they understand. My conviction is that student learning is the teacher's direct responsibility. Therefore, if a student isn't making progress, the teacher is ultimately accountable and must have the pedagogical skill to diagnose the barrier and implement effective instructional adjustments.

Eulexia Tutoring exists to embody this philosophy. We provide structured, scientifically-sound learning support designed to change lives. My commitment is to offer instruction that not only builds crucial skills but also helps students become independent learners, fosters their confidence, and helps them experience the joy that results from successful learning.

Lana La Ferriere brings a unique combination of native linguistic expertise, cultural insight, and engaging creativity to Eulexia Tutoring. As a native Mandarin speaker also fluent in English, she possesses an intuitive grasp of the language and an empathetic understanding of the specific hurdles English speakers face when learning Mandarin.

Lana is passionate about guiding students on their Mandarin journey through our MandarinRise program. She skillfully applies Eulexia’s research-backed, structured principles to make learning sounds, tones, grammar, and vocabulary effective and accessible. Known for her warmth, patience, and creative teaching style (perhaps inspired by her background as an artist!), Lana excels at building student confidence and fostering a genuine appreciation for the beauty, logic, and rich history of the Chinese language. She finds joy in empowering students to connect with the material and discover their own ability to communicate effectively.
